Very stylish Whitby Jet Earrings and pendant set from around 1870
 
The jet is adorned with foiled crystal beetles that look almost edible, their legs and feelers fashioned from silver, rather intricately I might add. Inspired by Scarab Beetles a la Egyptian Revival.
 
There is a little bit of foil loss behinf the crystal of the earrings but actually it looks quite attractive.
The earrings have silver shepherds hook fittings.
 
Locket 50 x 35mm (not including bale) and 23g

Good antique condition, no chips to the jet
