Victorian snake and fly earrings that I converted from a double stickpin, with the chain you see dangling at the bottom that originally connected the two stickpins.
 
Made from 18 carat gold, diamonds and coral I think these make the most fantastic mismatched earrings,
 
Mr fly is silver and set with old cut and cushion cut diamonds with tiny ruby eyes in gold sockets, and with gold little leggies. He sits upon a coral that is about 14mm diameter
 
Mr snake is 18 carat gold and set with a single old cut diamond. He coils around a smaller coral of about 9mm diameter. The colour of the corals is very well matched
 
Together they weigh 8g (one 5g and one 3g)
The length top to tail is about 40mm
