So says the motto on this sentimental little Locket (was a lace pin)
 
It has an white enamel circle, rather like a life buoy, with the abouve motto painted on in gold, and with a painted wreath below.
The ring hinges open, and i guess once contained hair
The coiled serpent (that represents eternal love) peeps through the centre of the ring.
The serpent is enamelled with a very dark blue cross hatch style, typical of pieces from the early 1830's
