Beautiful Sepia Classical Harbour Scene With Arcadian Ruins.
 
A beautiful georgian depiction of an imagined history, with overgrown Grecian ruins, and some rather tall men that almost look like giants.
The inspiration for this sepia was most likely Claude Lorrain’s ‘A Mediterranean Harbour Scene’ or his ‘Mediterranean Harbour scene with rising sun’ painted in the 18th Century  
 
Set in a georgian gold col metal locket with domed glass and gold col mount.
The back is also domed glass (and at the moment lined with paper)
