Beautiful Regency era pendant/vinaigrette modelled as a basket.
The basket lid is created from high carat gold, with pierced gold work of little flowers and leaves through which the perfumed cloth could be detected. The top od the lid is set with four turquoises. The base of the basket is made from moulded glass, patterned with lines and criss cross patterns.
The twisted wire handle of the basket swivels so that when worn the lid faces forward and the basket sits flat to the body.
