What a stunning bunch of flowers!
The word "giardinetti" is an Italian term that means "little garden" and refers to a style of jewelry that features floral designs.
Giardinetti jewelry first appeared in the late 17th century, and this piece is also from that era.
Set with a variety of gemstones, the highlight has got to be the rose cut yellow diamond! Approx .55 carat when measuring the traditional way but with a rosecut you dont get that depth so it will be a little less.
There are futher rose cut diamonds, turquoises, rubies and enamel work.
You may have seen this piece already on my website because it was a stickpin!
Although much admired it's wearability was limited.
So I finally converted it into a pendant.
