A very good looking pair of citrine earrings, dating from around 1840.
The pear shaped citrine tops are foiled and set in a closed button back setting, with shepherds hook fittings, all in high carat gold. 
The drops are a faceted rhomboid shape with open back (which really makes them sparkle) and a gold cutdown setting. 
Great for day or evening these are really elegant and easy to wear!
