Very pretty georgian butterfly pendant, circa 1800, the rose cut diamonds set in silver, the butterfly's antenna modelled in high carat gold, as is the back and the bail, which is fitted between the antenna.
 
Butterflies symbolize transformation, rebirth, and the ability to change. They can also represent hope, freedom, and joy.
